Come along and learn French in a relaxed and social setting, surrounded by other Francophiles, while sipping on a coffee/tea. Magnifique French Lessons offers different classes for various levels from complete beginner to advanced.
Each class has a syllabus and once one feels like they have a sufficient understanding of the content in that syllabus, they can challenge themselves and progress to the next level.
A French workbook will be provided on the first lesson of each course, which includes the materials for all the lessons. The beginner courses also include audio recordings.

About French Adult Classes
Beginner one courses
You will learn practical French in a relaxed and social setting, surrounded by other Francophiles, while sipping on a coffee/tea. Magnifique French Lessons (MFL) classes are unique in that they have small class sizes which are interactive. The focus of this class is on learning modern, practical French dialogue to enable you to speak as quickly as possible, so you can use this romantic language on your travels or among your French speaking friends. MFL puts emphasises on teaching the French sounds, which gives you the confidence to speak this beautiful language.
You are provided with a class syllabus at the beginning of your course, so that you can keep track of what you are learning. Your class (beginner 1) runs for a total of 12 weeks. After 12 weeks you will have a reasonable understanding of the basics of French and will have the vocabulary and dialogue to say quite a lot in French.
These classes are offered every day from Monday – Saturday. These classes are very flexible, whereby if you miss a lesson you are able to attend a Monday class one week and a Friday class the next. It all depends on your availability and lifestyle. Video catch up classes are also available.
From this point onwards, you then have the option to join beginner two classes. Details to those classes are as below.
Beginner 2 and Beginner 3 courses
These classes are offered every day from Monday – Saturday. These classes are very flexible, whereby if you miss a lesson you are able to attend a Monday class one week and a Friday class the next. It all depends on your availability and lifestyle. Video catch up classes are also available.
Each week you are exposed to a new topic, however we are always drawing upon past topics and do revision lessons from time to time.
French tenses are the main focus of the beginner 2 course.
Different grammar structures such as comparisons, weather conditions etc are the main focus of the beginner 3 course.
Intermediate and advanced classes:
Magnifique French Lessons believes it’s important to be able to engage in everyday conversation. For this reason, the start of each lesson focuses on students sharing their news and information about their daily lives. The other half of the lesson concentrates on discussing current topics in the news ranging from politics, history and culture (art, theater, language etc.). By covering a diverse range of topics, people are exposed to a vast array of vocabulary. Advanced grammar topics are also covered such as the past conditional tense, plus-que-parfait tense etc.
French for Children
Broaden your child’s mind. Learning a second language can positively affect many areas of your child’s life, such as enhance their cognitive skills in other schooling subjects, develop personal confidence and social skills mixing with other students, as well as giving them the opportunity to be introduced to another culture.
The opportunities that stem from speaking a second language are endless.
It’s important to exercise your mind and your body- while they’re young, their minds are like sponges!
Bring your child along to the fun, integrative French classes.
The classes are engaging using imagery, colour and games. The small class size facilitates the individuals learning, as their needs and concerns can be addressed more easily. The learning environment is customised to children, with adaptions made like bean bags to help children to be able to concentrate.
Parents are sent an audio recording after each lesson, so that the children can continue to practice the content and listen to it.
French for Students
French has always been a subject that entitles students to bonus marks towards their ATAR score.
Magnifique French Lessons work closely with students to:

It’s important that our students are confident and well-prepared when going into their exam. Therefore, students are encouraged to constantly inform the tutor what they are currently learning in French at school, as well as inform them when they have an upcoming test/project/exam.
French for Business
Whether your whole team or just one member needs to learn French, lessons are designed to suit the needs of individual companies. You mention your objective and a lesson plan will be designed.
These classes are set up upon request and tailor-made to your unique business. For example, if you were working for Hewlett Packard, Alexandra would teach you IT words as well as every day common expressions for navigating yourself around the IT business world.
