Beginner French course

About the Beginner 1 course  – 12 weeks of French learning + optional mid-term French face to face event

For 12 consecutive weeks you’ll be sent a video of your course. You’ll be given a set homework task to keep you on track and can check your answers in the following weeks class video. The same goes for all the questions you may have during your learning. Email them in each week. Then during the term we meet face to face to practise everything we have been learning. The focus of this course is on learning modern, practical French dialogue to enable you to speak as quickly as possible, so you can use this romantic language on your travels or among your French speaking friends. MFL puts emphasis on teaching the French sounds, which gives you the confidence to speak this beautiful language. Click here for a sample video of Alexandra teaching. Please note, your course will be taught on the computer so it will be easier to read.

You are provided with a class syllabus at the beginning of your course, so that you can keep track of what you are learning. In addition, you’ll be given a practical workbook and audio recordings. This is all offered at $25 per week.  The best part about this course is that you can re-watch the videos of your course as many times as you need to consolidate your knowledge.

After this course,  you’ll have a reasonable understanding of the basics of French and will have the vocabulary and dialogue to say quite a lot in French.

From this point onwards, you then have the option to join post-beginner classes. MFL also runs face to face events during the term.
