French face to face catch ups

Normally face to face events take place each term.

These events are a great way to meet up with your classmates who often share the same passion for the French language and culture.

 

 

Term 3 event, 2024 – Winter movie event

What better thing to do than watch a French movie. After the movie, for those interested, we’d go next door to Cognoscenti to chat in French and enjoy a wine/hot choccy etc for an hour.

The movie is called Mr Blake At Your Service and is at 4pm in Belgrave this Saturday the 20th of July. Please arrive at 3:40 pm in the cinema foyer. The movie is subtitled and your partners are of course welcome.

Term 2 event, 2024

Term 2 event – Les piplettes
 
All welcome (even if you are taking a break from classes).
 
Where: the Middle Ground cafe, Beaconsfield.
***.You will all receive a jar of Bonne Maman choc hazelnut spread, thanks to France At Home.
For the Francophones 1:15pm arrival – enjoy lunch together while speaking French.
-This is an informal event and there is no charge. It’s my way of saying thank you for coming back to French classes after such a long break.
-Order your own lunch and pay at the counter).
 
Wrap it up there or kick on for the second session​. 
 
Francophiles 2:30pm arrival 
– for those wanting to catch up speaking (in English) with their classmates and have a fun moment. The cafe does  expect you to purchase a coffee/ wine or at least something.​ Please pay on your way out.
