Normally face to face events take place each term.
These events are a great way to meet up with your classmates who often share the same passion for the French language and culture.
Term 1 event, 2023
Parler au parc in the après-midi – outdoor French lesson while enjoying croissants from Le Blanc bakery and coffee/tea/wine
When and where: 15/2 at 2 pm – 3:30 am at Pioneer park, Berwick.
How the event will work: from 2 – 2:30 you are free to chat away in English and catch up with your peers. Sip on coffee/tea/wine and croissants. Then at 2:30 -3:30 pm you will be seated at a table with your classmates. I will go between the tables and help you with the set topics. Bring your notebook and pen.
To reserve your spot for this event, please sign up here by the 10/2 for catering purposes. When making your booking, please specify which coffee/tea/wine you’d like. Please note: unfortunately I can’t accommodate special dietary requirements for the croissants, but I can for the coffees/teas.
Parking: it’s best to park in the large parking lot on Brisbane Street. You’ll see me in the park surrounded by a few tables and a black tee-shirt. This event is in a park to help minimise background noise/echo.
Term 3 event, 2024 – Winter movie event
What better thing to do than watch a French movie. After the movie, for those interested, we’d go next door to Cognoscenti to chat in French and enjoy a wine/hot choccy etc for an hour.
The movie is called Mr Blake At Your Service and is at 4pm in Belgrave this Saturday the 20th of July. Please arrive at 3:40 pm in the cinema foyer. The movie is subtitled and your partners are of course welcome.
